Leakages and Rot Assessment

A certainty of RV ownership are the concerns about unknowns such as undetected water intrusion, invisible moisture buildup, hidden wood root, or a hard-to-find propane leak. If not addressed in time, these hidden unknowns can have devastating financial and health consequences.

RV Squad offers a professional assessment that addresses the very concerns that bother and perplex RV owners.

About The Assessment

Water Intrusion

A detailed and extensive inspection is conducted using infrared technology and moisture sensing devices. The comprehensive assessment includes examination of:

  1. Roof
  2. Ceiling
  3. Sidewalls
  4. Floor
  5. Slides
  6. Storage compartments

Moisture Buildup

Even in the absence of water leaks, excessive humidity and condensation can create ideal conditions for mold and rot to thrive.

To identify adverse moisture conditions, we:

  • measure moisture level in indoor air
  • take numerous 'wood moisture content' readings
  • identify negative and adverse conditions
  • provide an optimum humidity value reference chart
  • suggest remedial measures

Structural Damage

All wood decaying fungi need a minimum amount of moisture before decay begins.

all wood decaying fungi need a minimum amount of moisture before decay beginsWe conduct a thorough examination of sidewalls and flooring for underlying wetness that could promote mould, rot and structural damage.

Propane Leak

Propane leaks can occur over time due to corrosion, loose regulator connections or other reasons. We check the propane storage and delivery system for leaks.

We provide inspection reports based on RPRFSM, our proprietary reporting framework that removes all vagueness from an inspection report.
